Son and grandson of winemakers, Paul Granier founded a small wine trading house in the Languedoc in 2022. Raised with a love for local products, characterful wines, and Languedoc traditions, his passion for wine tasting began at an early age. It was during a family dinner with friends, tasting the 2001 vintage of Domaine de la Grange des Pères, that he realized the emotional power of great wines. In 2012, Paul moved to Lyon to pursue an engineering degree. To complement his studies, he joined the OIV Master program, expanding his wine knowledge, meeting some of the world’s greatest winemakers, and exploring new cultures across more than 26 countries. Two wines and their producers left a profound mark on his journey: the 2014 Tretine cuvée from Domaine Giuseppe Rinaldi and the 2016 Saint-Joseph from Frères Gonon. Upon returning to France, he spent four years in Burgundy with Maison Lucien Le Moine, immersing himself in the extraordinary complexity of climates, ancestral know-how, and the fundamental role of aging in revealing typicity. This experience also allowed him to build relationships with winemakers and deepen his passion for fine wines by tasting exceptional crus. In 2021, Paul continued his learning with a year alongside Laurent Charvin in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. This experience cemented his interest in whole-cluster fermentation, extended aging, and elegant grape varieties. Paul's wine house focuses exclusively on producing single-parcel wines from old vines (over 50 years) grown on exceptional terroirs. Vinifications are long, slow, and conducted entirely with whole clusters. The wines undergo a minimum of 20 months of aging on lees in demi-muids without racking. Production quantities are extremely limited to ensure meticulous attention to each wine.
