Léo Dirringer is gradually taking over the family-run Alsatian estate Ruhlmann-Dirringer, located in Dambach-la-Ville, just north of Colmar. This 14-hectare vineyard, cultivated by the family for four generations, sits on a rare granitic terroir for the region. After earning a degree in viticulture and oenology (BTS viti-oeno), Léo furthered his studies at the School of Oenology in Saint-Mont, Switzerland. There, he developed a passion for natural wines, inspired by Marie-Thérèse Chappaz, a renowned figure in Swiss winemaking. Since 2017, Léo has been crafting wines that reflect his vision: natural wines, with no additives and no added sulfur. Under his guidance, the estate converted to organic farming in 2016 and has since incorporated biodynamic practices. Authentic, healthy, and accessible wines—an opportunity not to be missed.
