We met Alcide Perrin in the summer of 2024. His project immediately interested us, as much as his atypical profile. Alcide, before getting his hands dirty, worked in Paris for around ten years before settling in Burgundy where he now works for the Sylvain Pataille estate. In terms of training, Alcide completed a Master 2 in international business in Paris then worked for nearly 10 years in international business law, notably for the Ariane rocket. Spending his childhood holidays in the charming village of Til-Châtel, in Côte d'Or, he decided to settle there in 2020 and began a BTS Viti Oeno in Beaune, in parallel with an apprenticeship at the Sylvain Pataille estate, area where he plans to work for a certain number of years before his plantations are fully operational. Because it is a long-term job, as the project starts from scratch. The idea is to plant little by little, around the village of Til Châtel, a few hectares of vines with historic Burgundian grape varieties. In the Vin de France appellation, there have been no more winegrowers in this area for almost 140 years... The first planting takes place in spring 2024 on a plot of 2500 m2, all in Chardonnay. But let's talk about the vintages now available: two aligotés with very different profiles, resulting from purchases of grapes carefully selected by Alcide! The first vintage, Bourgogne Aligoté, is an Aligoté aged for 6 months in barrels, very light. An aperitif wine par excellence. The second, the Bourgogne Aligoté Echevronne vintage, is a more “serious” vintage, aged for 18 months in barrels before bottling. More material but also more precision for this very pretty keel from Aligoté. We are very happy to offer you wines of this quality, from a curious and meticulous winemaker who will surprise us year after year!
