Timothée Hurez

Timothée Hurez

Timothée Hurez is a young winemaker based in Rochefort-sur-Loire, south of Angers, where he cultivates 3.6 hectares of vineyards undergoing organic conversion. His plots are planted with Chenin, Pinot Gris, Gamay, Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, and Grolleau Gris. Committed to respecting the environment, he bans chemical herbicides and minimizes additives in the cellar, adopting a low-intervention approach to better adapt to climate challenges. His work focuses on dry whites, aged in barrels to bring complexity and depth, and reds that balance drinkability and structure. Among his cuvées, Vin des Copains 23 is a blend of Gamay, Cabernet Franc, Chenin, and Chardonnay, while Karukera is a Chenin aged for seven months in barrels, with subtle and well-balanced oak. Habanero highlights Cabernet Franc aged in barrels, while Gamay is vinified in vats to preserve its fruit and freshness. After studying viticulture and oenology, Timothée gained experience at Domaine Mosse and with Benoît Courrault. Today, he is part of the new generation of Angevin winemakers, with a promising start and a philosophy focused on the future.
